Further to the announcement by the Board at April’s Regular meeting, the Board and senior staff have come up with a comprehensive plan for public consultation regarding the request by Stella Jones to have road access across the upper edge of the Burton School property

Wider consultation in the community of Burton will be held by the Board on Wednesday, July 7th at 7 pm in the Burton School Gym to gather further input on the matter

The intent of the public consultation is not to consult on whether logging proceeds or not, which is not in the Board’s purview, but whether road access across the public property of the school district to forestry tenure-holder, Stella-Jones should be granted
