Burton Elementary School is excited to announce that we are officially working towards the launch of our Seamless Day Program!
Seamless day aims to provide a continuum of learning by bringing continuity to the two systems of Early Years and Education through the integration of in school learning and after school childcare. Seamless day is comprised of two program components which include:
- an in-school learning component whereby a team of educators including the primary classroom teacher and a qualified Early Childhood Educator collaborate in the design of programs and environments, engaging with the Early Learning Framework; and
- an after school care program component, in which up to 12 students, grades K-7 are eligible to register, and which will include a combination of structured activities and free play that embed strongly rooted district practices of inclusion, place-conscious learning, experiential learning, and First Peoples Principles of Learning.
