- Nakusp Secondary School (Nakusp): 150 students; and Lucerne Elementary-Secondary School (New Denver): 100 students

- Easy access to healthy activities, such as: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, golfing, canoeing, boating, fishing, hockey, curling, swimming, soccer, mountain-biking, ziplining, horseback-riding, marathon-running, bird-watching, camping, and more
- Airport transportation can be arranged by the School District – Kelowna International or Castlegar Airports (Japan to Vancouver or Calgary)
Project-based ESL Program
- Students learn English in a meaningful and contextual framework
- Examples of projects and the collaboration of subjects:
- Film-making of the geography of the region with narration – English, Visual Media Arts, Social Studies/Geography/History, Science/Geology
- Learning to fish, making fishing flashers, and showcasing and promoting them at a major trade show in Vancouver – English, Outdoor Education, Science/Biology, Entrepreneurship, Work Experience
- Organizing a community fundraising event and baking desserts to serve – English, Planning, Foods, Math, Work Experience
- Length of program available:
- 1-year Kootenay-Rockies Experience ESL Program
- 3-year British Columbia Graduation Diploma Program
- 1-year and 3-year programs start in September and end in June
- Short-term programs can be custom-designed by request
