Chief Election Officer, Rhonda Bouillet has provided the preliminary results of the by-election for Central Zone trustee as below.

SD 10 Central Zone By-Election Preliminary Results

We would like to thank all four trustee candidates for running in this election. Many have remarked during the recent All Candidates Forum and throughout the election process, that an excellent slate of candidates put their names forward.

The Board and District thank all of the candidates for their strong commitment to public education and to SD 10. Thank you also to the citizens of Nakusp and area for their engagement in the electoral process.

Both the Board of Education and School District 10 (Arrow Lakes) welcome Steve Gascon as our new Central Zone trustee. Our newest trustee will be sworn in during a public Special Regular Meeting held at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
