Framework for Enhancing Student Learning (FESL)

SD10’s Framework for Enhanced Student Learning (FESL), released September 2022 and updated in 2023, is the successor to the District Plan for Learning.

We invite you to read and reflect on our school district, how we are doing to enhance student learning, what we are focusing on to improve the success of our learners, and the actions we are taking.

Our Plan for Learning shares provincial data such as graduation rates, FSA and graduation assessments and district data on reading, writing and numeracy as well as socio-emotional learning and student well-being.

We use narratives, videos and stories of success, as sources of qualitative data to ground our decision-making and outline our roadmap for action as we continue to enhance the learning for all of our learners.

The District Plan for Learning is iterative, continuing to change and adjust as new data and circumstances inform our plans. Each School Growth Plan and the District’s Framework for Enhancing Student Learning inform our District Plan for Learning as does our 2017-22 District Strategic Plan.
