Support for Learning
SD10 is committed to learning for all students. In addition to our talented classroom teachers, all schools have access to learning resource support, counseling, and consultant services. Please contact your neighbourhood school to speak with school-based staff including principals/vice-principals, learning resource teachers and counselors.
In addition, the district provides consultant services to schools on a contract basis. Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and School Psychology are all services that work with SD10 to provide support for students and staff.
Students who qualify for Provincial Outreach Programs such as Autism Related Disorders (POPARD), Deaf and Hard of Hearing (POPDHH), and/or Early Intervention (POPEI) may also be supported by consultants from these organizations. Consultant services may include assessments, classroom recommendations and family support.
