Nakusp Secondary School is situated in the Village of Nakusp overlooking the scenic Arrow Lakes and Saddle Mountain. With a student population of 128 and a dedicated staff, high expectations for student learning are set and met.
NSS is well-regarded for its strong sports program with over 70% of students involved in athletics. Students at the school display a deeply-embedded commitment to the community. The Fine Arts programs – Band, Visual Arts, Theatre and Media Arts – and Applied Skills options such as Technology and Shop courses, Foods programs and Outdoor Education programs are vital aspects of our students’ learning. Students have a broad range of academic and elective courses from which to choose. As a relatively small school secondary school in a beautiful rural setting, we ensure our students are gaining the skills they need to take their place in the global community.
