Dear Honourable Ministers,

Re:      Management and Excluded Staff Compensation Freeze

At its Committee of The Whole meeting January 13th 2015, the Board of Education for School District 10 Arrow Lakes made a motion to write a letter to you expressing our concern regarding the fact that our exempt staff have not received a compensation increase since 2009.

Times are critical for leaders in our small communities in K-12 education!  We need to have the best people doing the most important work they do.  Our exempt staffs wish is to be compensated fairly; it is our boards wish as well.  Morale is low for these hard working individuals in our district and we will struggle to provide succession.

The Board of Education for School District 10 respectfully requests that you withdraw the compensation freeze on our Management and Excluded staff personnel and justly compensate these hard working Employees of our District.
