SD10 Support for Learning for Parents:
SD10 is committed to learning for all students. In addition to our talented classroom teachers, all school have access to learning resource support, counselling support, and consultant services.
The district provides consultant services to school on a contract basis where needs arise including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and School Psychology.
Students who qualify for Provincial Outreach Programs such as Autism Related Disorders (POPARD), Deaf and Hard of Hearing (POPDHH), and or Early Intervention (POPEI) may also be supported by consultants from these organizations. Consultant services may include assessments, classroom recommendations and family support.
Please contact your school to speak with school-based staff including Principals, Vice Principals, Learning Resource Teachers and Counselors for more detailed information. You can request the necessary consent forms for services from your school.
