Child Care Positions – SD 10 Arrow Lakes
SD 10, in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern BC, is seeking qualified, innovative and energetic early childhood educators for our brand-new child-care centre opening in 2023! With three all-day child care programs located in Nakusp for children 0-3 years (Infant-Toddler) and 0-5 years (multi-age) we are currently seeking Early Childhood Educators with Infant/Toddler (ECE/IT) and Early Childhood Educators (ECE) who are interested in joining our team of Early Childhood Educators. The district has part-time and full-time permanent positions and casual positions available. Salaries and benefits for these positions will be as per the Collective Agreement between the Board of Education for School District 10 (Arrow Lakes) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees.
Our vision is to provide inclusive and accessible childcare programming that will be a cornerstone for the small remote and rural community of Nakusp and surrounding areas, and that provides for rich early learning experiences that will enhance the growth, development, and well-being of all our early learners and their families. Integrating place-conscious, hands-on and experiential learning that create for engaging and innovative activities and that include an abundance of outdoor time, physical and artistic play are core aspects of achieving our vision.
